At an event at the LBJ Presidential Library the Shriver children discussed the surprise discovery of their father Sargent Shriver’s long-lost manuscript, now published as the memoir "We Called It A War," which documents his role in the War on Poverty.
The quartet highlighted how each sibling continues the family’s public service: Maria founded The Sunday Paper and the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement; Bobby co-founded the RED campaign with Bono; Tim chairs the Special Olympics; Mark created the Save the Children Action Network; and their brother Anthony leads Best Buddies International. Together they say their priority is sustaining their parents’ vision for future generations.
