Family Ties

Novak is godfather to all three of Kaling's children — Katherine, Spencer, 5, and Anne, 2. Kaling first confirmed his godfather role in 2019 and has described him as practically family, noting he often drops by weekly to spend time with her daughter. Novak has also publicly called Kaling an incredible mother and supported her when she received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in February 2025.
